The First Night

So the first night they we pretty good. DJ is still a WHOLE lot of puppy, so he wouldn't really leave me alone. I was exhausted from the dog park and he wasn't. So we wrestled for a bit, but I mostly gave him the cold shoulder. He got acclimated with the place pretty quickly. He marked his spot in the first minute of his arrival. All in all we did real well. He whined a bit when it was time for bed and he had to go to his crate, but he got over it, and it didn't hinder our sleep. Below are a few pictures and a video...the last pic is me telling DJ to back off that I get a treat first. ;o)

New Brother

So, the other major factor for starting this blogging thing is because I'm about to add a new 1/2 brother to the family. DJ is one of my basenji buddies from the dog park. We met a few months ago. DJ is about a year old. He is coming over tonight for the first time. DJ's dad needs a part time home for DJ because he travels so much. We're hoping that DJ becomes a full time brother, but we're going to take it one step at a time.

I'm not real sure how tonight's events are going to go. I've never really had to share my parent's attention with anyone before. When it happens at the dog park, I'm quick to come over to make sure there is no funny business going on. But DJ and I are good friends already so I may let him in without incident...we'll see.

The Early Years - Mostly Sleeping

So I figured I'd keep a blog for everyone to enjoy. I've gotten a late start on this since I'm already 3 and I've not been keeping up with where I've been and the stories that I've created. I'll start with a small recap on my very first year. I'm going to try to keep this short for now and I'll update some posts with stories (pictures) as I remember them.
